Admission to external users
Researchers and postgraduate students from other UK universities and colleges are welcome to make use of the library for reference purposes. They should register at the enquiry desk in the first instance.
Undergraduate students from other UK universities and colleges are normally permitted access only during vacations. Individual requests during term time should be addressed in advance to:
The Library Manager, Central Science Library, Benet Street, Cambridge CB2 3PY
or by email to lib-csl-inquiries@lists.cam.ac.uk
Individuals outside formal education conducting private research and those engaged in research for commercial purposes may be given access on payment of £10 which will allow access for 6 months. Requests in either case should be directed, in advance, to the CSL librarian.
Final year students from Anglia Ruskin University (formerly APU) may register to use the library on production of a signed letter of introduction from either their tutor or the ARU Librarian. 1st and 2nd year students may only register on production of a letter from the ARU Librarian and their student id.
Membership of the CSL does not automatically mean the reader has access to the Main University Library or any other library in the University. Readers will need to arrange access to other Libraries separately.
