A lithograph by Enid Mark from "Beyond the map: poems by Diane Ackerman ... [et al.]"; (University Library classmark Syn.3.99.6). Enid Mark is an artist, poet and publisher: her ELM Press, based in Pennsylvania, specialises in limited editions featuring hand-lithography, letterpress printing and archival hand-binding. "Beyond the map" is one of two ELM publications recently purchased by the Library - the other is "About Sylvia", a collection of poems about Sylvia Plath, who was a friend of Enid Mark, again illustrated with Mark's lithographs (classmark Syn.1.99.4).
