Dr Nadia Vidro
Dr Nadia Vidro is working as a part-time Research Associate in the Unit, having started in February 2011. The main focus of her work is masoretic and grammatical fragments in Hebrew and Judaeo-Arabic.
Dr Vidro received her MA in Jewish Studies, Islamic Studies and General Linguistics from the University of Cologne, Germany. She completed her PhD in the history of Karaite linguistics in Cambridge under the supervision of Professor Geoffrey Khan. Her reworked thesis Verbal Morphology in the Karaite Treatise on Hebrew Grammar Kitab al-Uqud fi Tasarif al-Lugha al-Ibraniyya recently appeared in the Cambridge Genizah Studies Series published by BRILL (2011).
Dr Vidro’s research interests are the history of Hebrew linguistics including medieval techniques for teaching Hebrew grammar.
