RCS treasures on Cambridge Digital Library and Royal Commonwealth Society 150 include an ever increasing number of photographs, paintings and drawings, manuscripts, artefacts and rare printed sources from the Royal Commonwealth Society collections.  The Civilian internment collection includes digitised newspapers and archives from World War II civilian internment camps on Singapore in the RCS collections.

The best way of searching the RCS collections on Digital Library is by geographical term - country name or place name.  Select simple search. This will find records which match your search from any digital collection on the platform. You can then refine your search by collection - select Royal Commonwealth Society from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, select the advanced search option initially.  You can also browse the collections. Do zoom in to view items in great detail.  You can download images for personal use, view and compare images in the Mirador image viewer, share or embed pages on social media or request permission to publish items.

The digital imaging has been generously supported by library grants from the Smuts Memorial Fund, from Paul, Hadiza and Susan Fuller and Dr Adamu in memory of Michael Fuller, and by Mr Cliff Webb.
