East Asian Reading Room
The Aoi Pavilion was opened in March 1998 and named in recognition of a generous benefaction from Mr Tadao Aoi. It contains the Library's collections of Japanese, Chinese and Korean material and consists of the East Asian Reading Room and two floors of bookstacks, together with Seminar and IT rooms and offices for the staff of the Library's Japanese and Chinese departments.
