Photocopying

image of volumes of Hansard in the commonwealth roomA self-service copier and scanner is available in the annex to the Commonwealth Room. Current photocopying charges are: 10p per A4 page; 20p per A3 page. Current scanning charges are: 8p per A4-A3 scan.

You may also ask staff to make photocopies for you.

The University reminds all users of the photocopier that they must comply with the provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, details of which are posted by the machine. In addition, please note that certain items may only be copied by Library staff on your behalf.

Use of computers

Access to the Library catalogue and electronic resources is available via the public PCs in the room.

All desks are fitted with power points to enable readers to use their own laptop computers.

The Lapwing wireless hot-spot facility is available in the Commonwealth Room. For more information about access to the wireless network, see the Lapwing webpages.

Microform copying

Two self-service reader-printers for making A4 and A3 prints from both positive and negative microfilms and microfiches are available in the Microform Reading Room, reached from the Commonwealth Room. Staff in either room will be happy to demonstrate how to use the equipment.

Current charges are: 50p per A4 page; 70p per A3 page.

The copying facility is available from Monday to Thursday from 09:30 to 12:45 and 14:00 to 17:00, and Friday from 09:30 to 12:45 and 14:00 to 16:45.
