Getting around the building
The corridors are wide and uncluttered, giving flat access to all the rooms including the Morison Rooms (via the Exhibition Centre) and the IT Training room. Most of the rooms are spacious with movable furniture.
The rooms which present problems are those entirely filled with bookshelves; sometimes the gap between the shelves is as little as 63cm. Staff in the main Reading Room are happy to fetch inaccessible books from the open stacks of the Library.
There is a toilet with access for students with physical disabilities on the first floor next to the catalogue hall and on each floor in the north and south wings.
