Parking & access
The University Library is situated in West Road, which is halfway between Queen's Road and Grange Road, about half a mile from the city centre. It can be reached by car by going along West Road. Two parking spaces are reserved for disabled readers in the smaller car park situated on the left, and two are reserved in the main car park in front of the building.
The best entrance is the staff entrance at the West Road end of the building: there is ramped access up to heavy double-doors, each 78cm wide. From these there is flat access to a large lift. Access inside the University Library itself is easy as there are nine lifts, two of them enormous.
A lift has been installed to the left of the main stairs at the front of the building. This may be used to access the Entrance Hall only.
There is an additional entrance for visitors with disabilities to the Exhibition Centre only; this is located to the right of the front steps of the Library.
