Off campus: Users are not asked to login when trying to view ebooks, but only the contents page and index will be available until logged in.
1. At the top of the page, select 'Shibboleth login'.
2. On the left hand menu click 'UK Federation'.
3. A list of UK universities will appear on the right. Scroll down to choose 'University of Cambridge' and 'Remember for session' from the drop down menu. Then click 'Select'.

Tip! All of the Cambridge Histories which are available online are accessible here.
Tip! When browsing by subject, click to show and hide lists of histories and volumes.
Tip! Searching will bring up results at chapter level. The chapter title appears first in green text, with details of the ebook title underneath. In the box on the right hand side the results can be refined by category or series title.

Tip! A quick search will retrieve results in all categories, beginning with a quick definition. Click on a book title or subject to search within that title or subject.
Tip! Refine your search results by subject, or reorder by category such as quotations, length of entry, English or bilingual dictionaries.

Tip! Limit your search to Oxford University Press titles or extend it to include other University Presses by selecting the options above the search box.
Tip! Limit your search to certain subjects by setting subject specializations.
Tip! In the results list, those titles with a padlock icon are abstract only, while those without the padlock icon are full text.
Tip! Each full-text browser page contains one chapter of the book. The current chapter can be downloaded for offline viewing, printed, saved, cited, emailed, or shared via social networks.

Tip! The default search will search both articles and book chapters. To limit to book chapters, use the advanced search.

Tip! The platform includes journals and protocols as well as ebooks. To search for ebooks only, do an advanced search and select 'only books' as the category.
Tip! A preview of the first page of the each chapter can be viewed, or the whole chapter can be downloaded as a pdf.
