INTRODUCTION

The Hebraica Libraries Group is a joint forum of Judaica and Hebraica Libraries in the UK and is affiliated to NACIRA.

It was established in 1976 to enable librarians and other specialists working with Hebraica to share their views and experiences, to discuss current developments as well as future projects, and to coordinate their activities.

Membership to the group is open to specialist librarians in academic libraries, specialists in public or private institutions, as well as scholars and researchers with an interest in the Hebrew book.

The members of the group meet once every year at one of the member libraries, and occasionally at other times.

Visits are sometimes arranged to libraries and collections in the area of Hebraica and Jewish studies.
