Libraries in Cambridge

The libraries of the University of Cambridge house rich and diverse collections of information resources to support the teaching and research of the University. There are over 100 libraries in Cambridge.

The libraries of the University can be divided into four groups:

• Cambridge University Library is the largest library in the University and is one of the great research libraries of the world. It is one of six legal deposit libraries in the UK and Ireland. The Library's collections number more than 7 million volumes in total and are housed in the University Library and its four Dependent Libraries - the Squire Law Library, the Betty and Gordon Moore Library for the Mathematical Sciences, the Clinical School Library and the Central Science Library.
• Departmental and faculty libraries
• College libraries
• Libraries of affiliated research institutions and organizations.

This site aims to provide users - both library users and librarians - with links to library resources within the University and beyond.
