Admits: Members of the University, others on application.
Stock: As a legal deposit library, the holdings of material published in the UK and Ireland are substantial and wide ranging. In addition, there are comprehensive collections of books, journals publishers overseas, along with maps, music, photographs and sound recordings. Around 8 million printed items are held. The library provides access to over 100,000 ejournals, more than 400 full-text and citation databases, and to ebook collections from over 40 different publishers and suppliers
Special collections: Special collections include rare books and manuscripts as well as specialist holdings, such as the Darwin Correspondence Project, the University Archives, the Bible Society and the Taylor-Schechter Genizah Unit
Services: General and specialist enquiries. Foreign language specialists. Access to a large selection of electronic information resources, including electronic legal deposit, digital library WiFi access (in main reading rooms and adjacent areas). Networked printing facilities. Full inter-library loan service. University Archives. Past exam papers. Photocopying and all forms of photographic and digital reproduction. Tea Room.
