Anne Jarvis, University LibrarianBoth Anne Jarvis and Cambridge University Library are embarking on exciting new chapters. After sixteen years at Cambridge, Anne Jarvis has accepted the post of University Librarian at Princeton University, and will step down from her current role this September. The University will now move to appoint a new University Librarian, an announcement for which will follow in the coming months.

Anne Jarvis said: “I have really enjoyed working with my colleagues over the last sixteen years (nine as Deputy and seven as Librarian) and I am very proud of all that we have achieved together. My successor will be extremely fortunate to have such an engaged and committed library staff to work with in the years ahead.”

Professor Graham Virgo, Chair of the University Library Syndicate, said: “Anne has made a tremendous impact at Cambridge, and we are grateful for the dedication and innovation she has brought to the role. She has laid an excellent foundation for her successor, and I am looking forward to embarking on the search for Cambridge’s 35th University Librarian.”
