From leaves of illuminated manuscripts to rejected drafts in Darwin’s handwriting, the collections of Cambridge University Library hold many unexpected secrets.

This display will show some of the scribbled notes, fragments of medieval manuscripts, and even biological specimens discovered by readers and staff while turning the pages of some of the millions of books held within this building. You can also see examples of the world-changing discoveries made by scientists including Newton, Hawking and Bell Burnell, explained in their own words.

Drop-in, suitable for all ages.
