Join us on Wednesday 6th Dec, 6-8pm for a fascinating discussion and seasonal celebrations at the Library.

6-7pm Panel Discussion: Dr Gordon Johnson will lead a panel exploring how libraries are developing new approaches to their use and, indeed, enhancing their importance in the present age. Sharing their expertise and appreciation for libraries, the panel will discuss their views, answer your questions and offer insights from their respective areas. Our special panel guests are:

  • Dr Nicolas Bell, Trinity College Librarian
  • Sir Charles Chadwyck-Healey, founder of the Chadwyck-Healey Publishing Group
  • Dr Danny Kingsley, UL Deputy Director, Scholarly Communications & Research Services
  • Meg Westbury, Wolfson College Librarian and Chair of the Cambridge College Libraries Forum

7-8pm Reception: Guests are offered a unique chance to enjoy festive drinks and nibbles while viewing the new Landscapes Below exhibition out of hours!

And there's even more to enjoy at the Library before the event begins! This event will be preceded by a carol performance at 5.30pm in the Entrance Hall, and a mini exhibition of Poems by Siegfried Sassoon, acquired by the Library through your support, will be on show in the Entrance Hall throughout the day.
