About DSpace@Cambridge

DSpace@Cambridge collaborates with various groups and organisations in the UK:

Since 2002 the University of Cambridge have been a Sherpa partner institution working alongside Sherpa to facilitate open access and efficient scholarly communication.

The University of Cambridge is a full member of the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) in order to contribute to the aim of "securing the preservation of digital resources in the UK and to work with others internationally to secure our global digital memory and knowledge base".

DSpace@Cambridge is also currently involved in the following projects:

Cambridge University Preservation Development programme (CUPID) aiming to ensure that those digital resources of the university that need to be preserved for the long term are appropriately cared for and remain accessible and useable.

Incremental is a collaborative project between Cambridge University Library and Humanities Advanced Technology & Information Institute (HATII), University of Glasgow. The aim of the project is to inform, improve and increase research data curation within UK HEIs, by providing exemplars and resources for others to use.

Keeping research data safe 2 aim to identify long-lived digital datasets for the purposes of cost analysis. Follow on project from the JISC Research data Preservation Cost Study.

Previous collaborations:

Cambridge Tetra Repositories Enhancement Project (CTREP) aiming to integrate DSpace@Cambridge with CamTools, the University of Cambridge's virtual learning and research environment.

JISC Research Data Preservation Costs Study. The University of Cambridge is one of several partners participating in a study of research data preservation costs run by Charles Beagrie Limited. This work is now finalised and those of you who are interested can consult the report on the JISC project web site.
