About DSpace@Cambridge e-thesis deposit agreements
When depositing an e-thesis with DSpace@Cambridge the depositor, normally the e-thesis author will have to agree to the "DSpace@Cambridge deposit agreement for dissertations or nominated depositor". This covers key legal aspects of making a deposit including:
- The author grants DSpace@Cambridge non-exclusive rights to disseminate the e-thesis via DSpace@Cambridge interface and other services
- The author grants DSpace@Cambridge rights to reproduce the e-thesis for example in other formats in order to archive and preserve it
- The author warrants of authority to enter the agreement by confirming owning or having permission to make the content available
- The author warrants of originality of work
- The author warrants that rights to 3rd party copyright materials included in the e-thesis are adequately managed
