Sacha is based in the Office of Scholarly Communication and is responsible for providing services, resources and support in areas relating to research data management, open research and research reproducibility/transparency. She manages the Research Data team who provide various services to support researchers, such as a data management plan (DMP) support service and consultancy. The team mediates the publication of research datasets, software and code into Apollo, the institutional repository (https://www.data.cam.ac.uk/upload).

Before joining Cambridge University Libraries in late 2018, she spent several years as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, examining Palaeolithic technologies, behaviours and human population dynamics through fieldwork and analysis of stone artefacts from archaeological sites in Libya and Iraq. She has a PhD in biological anthropology, which examined the impact of the Toba supervolcanic eruption of c.74,000 years ago on hominins in India.
