Distribution of Scientific Book Collections
The following outline presents the distribution of monographic material between the UL, the Betty and Gordon Moore Library, the Central Science Library and the University Medical Library.
Subject areas are defined by Library of Congress (LC) classification and scope notes refer to broad subject headings as used in Newton catalogues.
Where subjects are scattered across classes in the LC system as is the case of Materials Science, an additional general heading has been added to the LC scheme for documentary purposes only. Books themselves are classified according to the full LC schedules.
