Printers' Papers Project

The papers of Stanley Morison, acquired after his death in 1967, form the nucleus of an important group of manuscript collections relating to printers and typographers. Besides Morison's own papers, they include the papers of Francis Meynell, John Dreyfus, Alan Hutt, and the Curwen Press—to name just the largest collections. The Printers' Papers (formerly known as 'Morison Room Papers') have been catalogued at various times and in various formats. A five-year project began in 2008 to produce detailed finding aids for as many as possible of the collections and make them available via the Janus website.

A list of the Printers' Papers, with links to Janus for the finding aids that have been produced so far, may be found on the Manuscripts Department webpages.
