RIN ejournal usage study (academics)
Please complete our survey on how you use e-journals http://snipurl.com/rinsurvey
CIBER at UCL are undertaking a major study on the use of e-journals at key universities, including the University of Cambridge, by analysing usage data from the ScienceDirect and Oxford Journals databases. Findings have highlighted sharp differences not only between disciplines but also between different universities. This raises a number of interesting questions as to how scholars seek and use information (a summary report can be found at: http://snipurl.com/sirk0). We need your help in seeking to understand the different patterns of behaviour we have seen in the usage data– so we hope you will be able to complete a short (10 to 15 minutes) online survey.
By completing the survey you can enter a prize draw for £100 Amazon voucher. Please note, however, that it your anonymity is assured – you only need to give us an email address if you wish to enter the draw.
The research is sponsored by the Research Information Network (See http://www.rin.ac.uk/about/who-we-are),which is funded by the UK higher education funding councils, the seven research councils and the three national libraries. Our findings should help improve the workings of the scholarly information system
Many thanks for completing the survey. If you have any questions or would like to know more about the study, please contact i.rowlands@ucl.ac.uk; Telephone: +44 (0)20 76797205
