The collections at CCA-CCE (and very occasionally CCF, for folio sized volumes) cover a huge range of subjects, geographical areas and periods. They are mainly collections that have been acquired in their entirety, either as donations or bequests from the original collector, or have been purchased in order to be kept together. They are all excellent examples of the art of collecting, and some include materials relating to how they were formed, such as correspondence, card catalogues and other reference items. Modern donated collections are often added to this class, rather than dispersed, so that they can be used and understood as the original collector intended.

- CCC.59 - Books transferred from the Molteno Institute of Parasitology, closed in 1987. The books are not yet catalogued; a handlist is available fron staff in the Rare Books department.
- CCA-E.60 - Books from the library of Professor Walter Schobert, former director of the Deutsches Filmmuseum. Primarily, although not entirely, German-language material. Includes books from throughout the history of cinema, including ephemeral grey literature and fiction.
- CCA-E.61 - A collection of the graphic work of artist Fritz Möser, donated by Hans-Jörg Modlmayer and Hildegard Modlmayr-Heimath. Includes 44 sets of linoprints by Möser and a collection of about 250 private press books set and illustrated by Fritz Möser.
- CCA-E.62 - Books from the library of Peter Yakimiuk with a focus on Ukrainian history, politics and culture.
- CCA-E.63 - Books from the library of Professor Raphael Loewe, mainly relating to Jewish studies.
- CCA-E.64 - Translations of the works of Bertrand Russell, donated by the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation.
- CCA-E.65 - Books from the library of Nigel Glendinning (1929-2013), British hispanist, an authority on Goya (court painter to the Spanish crown). The collection contains over 800 titles of material (some rare, mostly published in the first half of the 20th century). It includes exhibition catalogues, mainly featuring Goya's and Velázquez's work (Velázquez 1599-1660, court painter to King Philip IV), some rare books, monographic works on Goya, Velázquez and other Spanish masters.
- CCA-E.66 - Collection of around fifty wholly engraved books, printed between c. 1630 and c. 1830, on a range of subjects, including anatomy, music, religion, architecture and poetry. Acquired from the bookseller Roger Gaskell in 2013.
- CCA-E.67 - Quaker books collected and bequeathed by David J. Hall (1947-2015), former Deputy University Librarian. Around 350 volumes (some containing a number of pamphlets), from the 17th century to the present day, though primarily 18th & 19th century.
- CCA-E.68 - A collection of comedias sueltas purchased in 2013.
- CCA,C.69 - Books and ephemera connected with the 2016 referendum on Britain's membership of the European Union.
- CCA-E.70 - Works on painting techniques and restoration, donated by Ann Massing.
- CCA-E.71 - LGBT literature in Portuguese, donated by Dr Robert Howes.
- CCA-E.72 - Works on the Portuguese revolution of 1974 and on Portuguese colonies, donated by Dr Robert Howes.
- CCA-E.73 - Printed works extracted from the archive of the poet J. H. Prynne.
- CCA-E.74 - Erotica, primarily nineteenth and early twentieth century French, presented by Patrick J. Kearney in 2017.
- CCA-E.75 - Latin American cartonera books, collected as part of the AHRC project “Cartonera Publishing : Relations, Meaning and Community in Movement.”
- CCA-D.76 - French poetry books from the library of Martin Stone.
- CCA-F.77 - The Richard M. Schwartz Collection of First Editions of Classical Music, deoposited by Clare College. The collection consists predominantly of first editions of printed music, covering the Western canon from Purcell to Stravinsky, but also includes editions by Cole Porter and Jule Styne, as well as a number of autographs.
