Looking for a way to make a contribution?

The Genizah Research Unit is supported by generous donors around the world. Support research and scholarship around the Genizah collection and receive exciting benefits, such as products featuring items from the collection, invitations to events, behind-the-scenes tours, and more, by becoming a Friend of the Genizah. 

 

Join the Friends of the Genizah online, by downloading a membership brochure, or picking up a form in the Library. 

 

£50 – Friend

  • Invitation for you and a guest to the annual Genizah lecture and reception.
  • An exclusive gift featuring items in the Genizah Collection.
  • Receive recognition in Genizah Fragments for your generous contribution.

£250 – Supporter

  • An exclusive new product featuring the Genizah collection for each year of your patronage.

£500 – Manuscript

  • A curator-led, bespoke tour of the Genizah for you and up to 9 guests.

£1,000 – Scroll

  • Receive recognition for your generous support on the Genizah section of the Cambridge University Library website.
  • A collectable coffee table book featuring highlights of the Collection.
  • Invitation for you and a guest to a special evening with the curators and researchers of the Genizah Research Unit where we celebrate you – the donors who enable the scholarship around this collection.

£15,000 – Codex

At this level, you may choose to contribute to the Genizah Research Unit generally, or you may choose to sponsor a small research project.

  • Sponsor a small research project bearing your name within the Genizah Research Unit for an early career researcher.
  • The research will also produce a Fragment of the Month, which will also bear your name.
