For too long, women’s contribution to science has been downplayed. Yet the archives of the Sedgwick, the Whipple Library and the University Library are rich with books, PhD theses, manuscripts and other objects showing the discoveries that have been made by Cambridge women. See examples of their work at this pop-up display.

This will also be a last opportunity to visit our The Rising Tide: Women of Cambridge exhibition, which closes on Saturday 21 March.

This event is part of the Cambridge Science Festival. For the full programme, visit https://www.sciencefestival.cam.ac.uk/.

Free event, suitable for all ages and open to all. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is part of The Rising Tide: Women at Cambridge programme hosted by Cambridge University Libraries, and generously supported by Cambridge Assessment, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, the Howard and Abby Milstein Foundation, and the Friends of Cambridge University Library.
