Cambridge University Library is now open for zero contact services from Monday-Friday. Please read more about our phased reopening of the UL and Faculty and Departmental Libraries.

Cambridge University Library

Cambridge University Libraries will make every effort to maintain services during the forthcoming strikes. The main University Library will remain open. Faculty and departmental libraries will remain open wherever possible and will welcome any students who may need to relocate from their usual place of study. Should any need to close, users will be redirected to other libraries for study space and access to material. We recommend Spacefinder for help in locating alternative spaces. Electronic resources – ebooks, ejournals and databases – remain available as usual, both on and off campus.

Fines for late return of recalled books will be waived during the strike period.  On strike days, recalled books for return at faculty and departmental libraries may be dropped off at the main UL Reader Services Desk if it is not possible to return them to their home libraries.
