Private Researcher Membership: 

Available to all aged 16 and over. Those aged 16 and 17 must include a signed permission form from their parent or guardian.

  • One week temporary card (free of charge, once in a twelve month period)
  • One month (£5)
  • Six months (£15)
  • One year (£30)
  • Three years (£90)

Remote access to electronic resources is issued via departments, to current members of the University.
If you are joining the University and have not received your card, please contact your card representative.
If you are a current member of the University, renew your blue University card by contacting your College/Department Card Representative. To enquire about your library account, email us on: registration@lib.cam.ac.uk

To ensure efficient service during busy periods, study school students must be registered as a group, through their programme coordinators. Please complete the Study School Registration form.
If you choose ELD Printing access only, you can change your mind at a later date. Email registration@lib.cam.ac.uk and attach a photo of yourself for us to print on your card.
