Agustina leads the Open Research Systems Team within Cambridge University Library. She leads the development of the Open Research Infrastructure roadmap that is part of a wider Open Research Programme led by Cambridge University Libraries. She is also responsible for the development of Cambridge’s Institutional Repository, Apollo, and integrations with other systems and services to support researchers making their research outputs available in ways that enable greater discoverability and re-use.

Agustina is an active member of several governance groups and user communities within the open scholarly infrastructure space: she is a member of DSpace Leadership and Steering groups. She is also the co-convenor of the DSpace UK & Ireland (DSUK&I) User Group and has been invited to join the Committee of UKCORR (UK Council of Open Research and Repositories https://www.ukcorr.org) in the role of Technical Officer.

She worked as a software engineer on the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) with An Foras Feasa at Maynooth University, Ireland. She completed her PhD at Liverpool John Moores University in which she explored the potential of semantic technologies to enhance qualitative research and developed a self-archiving toolkit for the documentation, archiving and visualisation of qualitative research data. At Liverpool John Moores University, she was also a research fellow in the R-Ed.Tech research group (Research in Education Technology), working closely with educational researchers to research and develop technology enhanced learning resources.
