Recently joined the University Library, or thinking about joining?

Join a 45-minute taster tour with a member of our friendly library staff who will introduce you to the University Library building and the incredible resources available here.

The tour will introduce you to:

  • the building and the print and electronic collections
  • our search platform, iDiscover
  • digital user guides to help you make the most of your access to the library
  • how to register as a member

Tours run regularly twice a month – on the second Wednesday at 5:15pm, and the second Saturday at 10:15am (with the exception of the Easter holidays, when tours will happen in the third week of the month).

Library membership is available to those aged 16 years old and over. Please book a place for everyone attending the tour.

The walking tour lasts around 45 minutes. The library is a large building, and the tour includes one flight of stairs. Contact us at participation@lib.cam.ac.uk if you would like support with access, and if you will be accompanied by children under 16. Accessible parking, step-free access and accessible toilets are available.
