Before you enter the library you will need to deposit any bags, rucksacks or tote bags in the locker room. This is for security purposes.
The locker room is to the left of the Entrance Hall as you come in. The room is accessed via a flight of six steps, and there is no step-free alternative access. If you cannot access the locker room and need to bring a bag into the library please ask at the Reader Services Desk for a tag for your bag.
Lockers are free to use; enter a four-digit code twice to lock and then once to unlock. We recommend making a note of your locker number!
Please feel free to bring anything you need to study into the library, except non-transparent bags. Study material, laptops, pens, pencils, personal and other library books are all fine to bring in.
Transparent plastic bags are available free of charge at the Reader Services Desk. You can also bring your own transparent bag if you prefer.
You can buy cold drinks and snacks from the vending machine in the Locker Room.
