All are invited to join Cambridge University Library for a first look as we celebrate the launch of our new exhibition, Curious Cures: Medicine in the Medieval World.

How did people treat illness and live healthily many centuries ago? How was the body thought to function? And who studied and practised medicine? Illuminated by medieval manuscripts from libraries across Cambridge, this exhibition explores a complex and intriguing world of bodily humours, herbal recipes, ritual healing, star-gazing and surgery.

Enjoy with music from Cambridge Timeline Choir, and drinks which will be available to purchase to enjoy in our fabulous Art Deco building. Hosted as part of the Cambridge Festival.
