A 40-minute taster tour of the University Library with a member of our friendly Library staff focusing on our collections, services and workspaces.

TICKETS: Free, booking essential. Suitable for those age 16+ who are thinking of joining the University Library or who have recently joined.

This tour is designed for those who are thinking of joining the University Library or who have recently joined.

It will introduce you to:   

  • the building and the print and electronic collections 
  • our search platform, iDiscover  
  • our digital user guides that help you make the most of your access to the University Library   
  • how to register as a member 

Library membership is available to those aged 16 years old and over. Please book a place for everyone attending the tour. 

The walking tour lasts around 40 minutes. The library is a large building, and the tour includes one flight of stairs. Contact us at participation@lib.cam.ac.uk if you would like support with access, and if you will be accompanied by children under 16. Accessible parking, step-free access and accessible toilets are available.
