Taylor & Francis (T&F) 2018 renewal
We have received news from Jisc Collections, the not-for-profit organisation that negotiates with publishers on behalf of Higher Education institutions, that they have received a first proposal from T&F for the renewal of the Taylor & Francis Journals deal and their Open Access Offset Agreement 2015-2017.
The current deal for their subscription-based journal package ends on 31 December 2017. In summary, Jisc Collections have rejected a new deal as proposed by T&F. We await further news from Jisc Collections as they move through the next stage of negotiation with T&F. In addition, T&F has presented new Open Access options. Jisc Collections is currently looking into these models and will provide HE institutions with a more detailed analysis of these options in due course before a response is given to the publisher.

Jisc Collections have advised that a short term agreement has been reached with Wiley on the existing terms in order to allow more time for a fuller analysis and negotiation.
