Search and find

Search and find resources using the online search tools, catalogues and archival finding aids listed here.

All online resources are available on campus via the Cambridge network and most are available off campus via Raven login.  Walk-in access to online resources is provided on dedicated computers in the University Library where publisher licences permit.

If you need help, please email the Helpdesk or use the Help form  telephone 01223 333054. The Helpdesk is staffed Monday to Friday from 09:00 - 17:30.

LibrarySearch LibrarySearch is the best place to start your search across all Cambridge libraries.  LibrarySearch includes hard copy resources in Cambridge libraries and online resources, including ebooks and ejournals and content deposited by members of the University in our institutional repository DSpace@Cambridge.  You can filter and refine your searches by location, format, date of publication etc. Consult Help on using LibrarySearch.

Newton The traditional online catalogue is Newton.  Search Newton by groups of libraries.   A comment form on Newton is available for queries with the catalogue.

eresources@cambridge Use eresources@cambridge for online resources for your subject area or for links to our services to help you find online articles, ejournals, databases, ebooks and more.

ejournals@cambridge ejournals@cambridge provides a traditional A-Z list of all ejournals licensed for use by current members of the University of Cambridge.

LibrarySearch+ With LibrarySearch+ you can search the majority of the University of Cambridge's online resources.  LS+ allows you to search the full text of many of Cambridge's online resources, including online newspapers, citation and full text databases and other e-resources, audio and video files, as well as freely available and open access content from the web.  Feedback on LS+ can be made on this form.

JANUS Janus provides access to more than 1800 catalogues of archives held throughout Cambridge.  New users are recommended to read the Janus welcome pages.

Library Toolbox Here you will find online tools to help you navigate the search services we provide, including optimizing your search experience via your mobile device.
