Readers, writers, researchers, book-lovers, students past and present: the Friends of Cambridge University Libraries are a warm and welcoming community.

We’d love for you to join us.

The generosity of our Friends directly supports the Library, from securing rare and valuable acquisitions and conserving and digitising our collections, to supporting our public programme of exhibitions and events. We are hugely grateful for the contributions made by our Friends that allow us to continue this vital work and enable everyone to explore and enjoy the Library.

As thanks, our Friends have the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes, learn first-hand from our curators and conservators, and meet others with a shared love for the Library. Membership starts at £35 per year (£10 for students) and you can sign up online here.

Our Friends’ support is vital, now more than ever, and will help us to continue to educate and inspire with our incredible collections for years to come.

Please note if you would like to join the Library as a reader, you can find more information here.
