How to find us



 

Travelling to the UL by bike

Planning your route to the UL can be done via Cyclestreets (http://www.cyclestreets.net/) and there is plenty of space to securely lock a bike outside the UL.

 

Travelling to the UL by road

Parking is available on site for users of the Library, operated on a first come, first served basis. The UL car park opening hours are as follows:

Monday to Friday: 9am to 7pm

Saturday: 9am to 5pm

Any cars still in the car park when it is closed will need to be retrieved the next working day.

Parking is also available on Queen’s Road and West Road, and is operated on a parking meter system. (https://www.cambridge.gov.uk/parking)

 

Travelling by train to Cambridge / Travelling to the UL from Cambridge railway station

There are frequent trains running between Cambridge railway station and London King’s Cross and Liverpool Street stations, and from the Midlands via Birmingham. Current train timetables can be found at the National Rail enquires website: www.nationalrail.co.uk/

Taxis can be hired outside Cambridge railway station.

Bikes can be rented at numerous city centre bike hire shops. The tourist information office can assist. See http://www.visitcambridge.org/

 

Travelling to the UL by bus / coach

The UL can be found on the ‘Universal’ bus route (operated by Whippet'), and via the Park & Ride service.

 

Travelling to Cambridge from UK airports

There are a limited number of European flights from Cambridge Airport (01223 373 737).

The University Library is accessible by bus, coach and train from all major UK airports, the closest of which is Stansted.
