Cambridge University Library

Alert:

You must login to view this form.

Click & Collect enables current staff and postgraduate students to request books to be retrieved from the University Library’s modern collections.

Our Click & Collect service requires a large number of staff and lots of time to run. However, all users can come in to Browse, Borrow & Read (immediate borrowing is then possible, if your membership currently permits this). By visiting the Library in person where you can, you enable us to provide more services to more people.

Click & Collect users can request up to five books at one time.

When your request has been fulfilled, you will receive an automatic email notifcation. You will not need to create an appointment to collect your books.

Once you have received an email notification, you are welcome to collect your books by visiting the Reader Services Desk in the Entrance Hall with your University card. The Library is open 9:00-19:00 Monday - Friday, and 9:00-16:45 Saturday. If you nominate someone else to collect books on your behalf, please ensure they can show us a copy of the email notification.

To enable this service to run safely and consistently throughout the term, it is really important that you order only what you need and that your orders are collected on time. Please ensure that you have checked that the item you require is available in the University Library and not on loan.

We anticipate that you will be able to collect books within 2 days (excluding weekends), although it depends on our availability. Once fetched, books will be held for 3 working days before they are eligible for request by someone else.
