Calling all armchair detectives!
Join Cambridge University Library for a KILLER NIGHT of mystery-solving, crime fiction and cocktails! Throughout the Library will be a number of drop-in activities; take part in as many as you like.
- Delve into the world of cosy crime with this special in-person edition of The Really Popular Book Club, as we discuss the best-selling first instalment of Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club (three sessions: 8-8.20pm, 8.30-8.50pm and 9-9.20pm)
- There’s been a Murdle in the library! Put your powers of deduction to the test with official addictive logic puzzles from Detective Logico (available 7.30-9.45pm)
- Fiendishly competitive? Challenge your next victim to a round at our board games station curated by Waterstones Cambridge (available 7.30-9.45pm, sales from 8.30pm)
- Be inspired by live readings from students and alumni of Cambridge University Institute of Continuing Education’s Crime & Thriller Writing Masters Course (programme available 8-9.40pm)
- And don’t miss the opportunity to explore the exhibition, Murder by the Book, after hours! (open 7.30-9.45pm)
Enjoy with live JAZZ and a COCKTAIL BAR in our fabulous Art Deco building.
Entry is free - all activities are free and drop-in with no further booking required. A map of activities will provided upon entry to the event.
Drinks are not included in the free ticket. The bar will be selling cocktails and other drinks (card payments only).
Event attendees are welcome to arrive anytime from 7.30pm. Last entry is at 9.20pm. Activities will finish by 9.45pm. The Library will close at 10pm.
