The University Library's physical and electronic holdings are served by a number of catalogues. These are listed below. Please note that for German language material, the umlauts ä, ö and ü should be replaced simply by typing a, o and u, while the German Eszet (ß) should be replaced with 'ss'.

- contains catalogue records for physical books and periodicals and also ejournals
- is separated into clusters of catalogues to be searched individually (the link above goes into the University Library's cluster), including a cluster for Cambridge PhD theses

- provides a single union catalogue for physical items in libraries across Cambridge
- searches subscribed eresources including ebooks, journals and databases, open access items in the University’s institutional repository and the electronic legal deposit collection
