A gathering in the Senate House to ‘discuss’ either reports submitted to the University or matters of concern on which a discussion is requested by then members of the Regent House. Discussions may be attended by graduates of the University, members of faculties, persons in statu pupillari and others authorised by the Vice-Chancellor. Contributions to discussions normally take the form of prepared speeches, which are afterwards published in Cambridge University Reporter.
