Welcome to the Friends of Cambridge University Library.

The Friends are the Library’s largest community of supporters and are open to anyone who loves the Library, wants to give something back, or contribute to its collections and heritage. With a growing Digital Library and collection of online resources, you can enjoy the Library from anywhere in the world. Membership starts at £35 per year (£10 for students) and in return we give you opportunities to learn first-hand about our exciting collections, exhibitions and talks.  With a diverse and dynamic community of members there are plenty of opportunities to give your support while getting involved with this remarkable institution.

Becoming a Friend is easy and rewarding. You will:

  • contribute to the acquistion of collections that the Library could not otherwise obtain;
  • help the Library safeguard items for today and for the future, whilst enabling the sharing of items world-wide through the Cambridge Digital Library;
  • experience unique Friends events and talks.
