Assistive Technology Room
This is a room for use by students registered with the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre at Cambridge. It is available for one user, or for someone with a study assistant.
It has a PC with the following Assistive Technology on:
- Dolphin Supernova, which offers screen-reading and magnification facilities
- Dragon Professional, speech to text package
Please note: if you would like to use the PC, you need to contact disability@lib.cam.ac.uk to register, which can take up to 5 working days.
If you would like to have more information about using this PC, or the room, please email disability@lib.cam.ac.uk.
Students are also very welcome to bring in any laptops or hardware of their own.
Booking is required and can be done via the Assistive Technology Room booking form.
South Wing 3 Study Hub
There are also two bookable rooms in the South Wing 3 Study Hub.
Single study rooms are bookable for 2 hour slots. Single Study Room 1 contains a desk and a chair, and has a window facing south outside. Single Study Room 2 has no window, but has a daylight lamp. Both have a glass front that allow light into the room from outside. This means that users in these rooms can be seen by users of the Group Study Room.
Assistive Technology PC
Single Study Room 2 additionally contains a PC. This PC can be used by students registered with the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre at Cambridge.
It has the following Assistive Technology on:
